Hopeless Female Driver Part II

I have to admit I'm not good with remembering road names and directions. So, it's almost always a mini adventure whenever I have to drive to somewhere new... ;p

Last Friday, I had a meeting at M Hotel at 7pm... Decided to use the GPS on my phone to direct me there... BIG MISTAKE!!!

The stupid GPS is the worst invention on Earth!!!

Scenario 1: "Turn left in 300 metres."

ME: How would I know how far is 300 metres?!?!?!?! There are so many left turns before that 300 metres! And of course, I made the wrong turn...

Scenario 2: "In 100 metres, keep left..." ..........."Lost satellite connection, waiting for reconnection..."

ME: WHAT THE !@^#&*! So what do I do now?!?!?! Where do I turn? Needless to say, I am totally lost on dunno-where-is-this road...

Attempted to slow down and try to read the road signs....hoping that the road name will give me some indication...BUT NO! The minute I slow down, impatient people start to honk at me! Sobz... Singaporeans are so impatient... Can't people be more considerate and forgiving...:(....(though I'm guilty of that too...hahaha...)

Hmm... I think I should just rely on the trusty street directory next time... (I like to think I can read maps...) ;p

WANTED: Wedges!

Wish I could find nice wedges...

Mood Swings

Yes I'm totally guilty of extreme changes in mood sometimes...happily chatting one moment and sounding hostile the next...

I can't explain my behaviour, it comes naturally to me and I may not be aware of it at that point of time.

Thinking back, I start to wonder... Is it because of a sudden change in expectations? Hearing something for the first time and not knowing how to react? Feeling defensive because of a comment? Expecting to hear something totally different?

I can't pinpoint a single reason... haha I guess it's ok to be unpredictable sometimes ya? Life is less boring that way... hee...;p

Counter Productivity

Sometimes, when work starts to pile up and you feel like doing more, you stay up late into the wee hours and sacrifice your sleeping hours.

What happens the next day? You have difficulty waking up, you turn up late for work, no time for breakfast, feeling hungry and frustrated, you try to focus and do your work BUT you can't seem to settle anything...

After lunch, you concluded that work pace had been too slow and decide to buck up...somehow, because you didn't sleep enough last night... you start to feel sleepy! Low productivity!

Hmm...perhaps a cup of coffee? =p

I'm a meanie...

Sometimes, mum, dad and bro like to ask me very lame questions...questions which I don't understand why they wanna ask in the first place...

Like...When I was baking cookies in the kitchen on Sunday, my bro popped in and ask... "You baking ah? Hey can this type of oven bake cake?" My answer..."Isn't it obvious that I'm baking? Of course the oven can bake cake, if not what is it for?!"

Or...when I'm dressed up and obviously walking towards the door...mum will ask "going out ah?" Erm....isn't that OBVIOUS?!

But I realized... they know the answers... they just asked all those stupid questions simply because they wanna talk to me...they wanna interact...so that we don't behave like strangers at home... I'm such a meanie...feeling bad... :(

Hopeless female driver

Today, after countless reminders from my colleagues that my car tyres look very deflated, I finally decided to pump my tyres...

One of my colleagues had already taught me how to do it awhile ago...he showed me how to enter the pressure values, insert the nozzle...blah blah...he did not let me try though...

So today, I drove into Shell, confidently, I unscrew the cap on my tyres and tried to insert the nozzle...BUT...nothing was coming out!!! No air! I tried on the other tyres...but still nothing...I was starting to get irritated because I was getting late for work and the sun was scorching! So I went to ask the Shell staff for help...a lady was on duty and sheepishly, she said she can't help...bleah...bad bad bad service!!!

Just when I was about to give up and drive off...this car pulled up behind mine and an uncle stepped out. He asked me in mandarin..."Need help?" Eagerly, I said YES! Phew...

Haha...thanks to the helpful uncle, my tyres are no longer deflated... but ya...I still don't know how to pump my tyres...hmm...maybe the BF can help next time! ;p
